The idea behind this painting was to move away from using rain to experiment with other types of water in nature, which is the same concept as ‘Sea Painting’. This painting uses a very similar process to ‘Sea Painting’, however, I initially soaked the canvas board into the ocean as well as soaking it after. Then repeating the same process as ‘Sea Painting’ with applying thick layers of paint. To soak the paint after applying the paint, I placed it in a bowl of sea water, which began the development of the curving of the sides.
