I wanted to create a print that was inspired by the German Expressionism art movement. This relief print focuses on the deep expressive lines that form the skull. The use of monochrome enhances the feeling of death as the black tries to absorb all the white. However, the black ink doesn’t take from the white as the white of the print is so pristine.
